What To Expect When Your Expecting... To be a Vendor
Let’s get into it.
I’ve been vending at events and pop-ups since January, and with two more lined up this month, lemme put you on real quick.
🌸 Secure Your Bag , Secure Your Spot🌸
First of all, CONGRATULATIONS,
Getting accepted as a vendor is a whole flex, but what's after?
Secure your vending spot ASAP! Most events send an invoice right after acceptance. Pay quickly so you’re locked in.
🌸License to sell (Literally)🌸
If you’re vending more than twice in Michigan (or wherever you live), you need a sales tax license or a concierge license. If your not sure what you need check out your local States Website.
🌸Set Up, then Glow Up🌸
Ask these questions before you leave on your adventure,
Are tables/chairs included or nah?
Indoor cozy vibes or outdoor adventure?
Will you need a tent, extra displays?
🌸No Power, No problem?🌸
Think about electricity and internet. Do you need to power any equipment or lights?
or do you need internet to process customer payments.
No they are not the same, yes some places charge for both.
🌸Summon Your Squad🌸
My last tip is sometimes you need to use the bathroom, or step away for a call. A lot of events let you bring another person. Consider leveraging this if only to keep you company because the events can be long and its better with a buddy.
Thanks for Floating by
🌸 Stay Confident. STAY KAWAII 🌸
